San Jose Sharks rookies Luca Cagnoni and Georgi Romanov are getting their NHL firsts against the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday.
Cagnoni made his NHL debut, and Romanov made his first career start. In his career, Romanov has appeared in three games, all in relief: two in 23-24 and against the Washington Capitals last Saturday.
The two have played as teammates with the San Jose Barracuda this season and now share a moment they won’t forget for the rest of their lives.

Cagnoni is paired on defense with Vincent Desharnais and is expected to run the first power-play unit for head coach Ryan Warsofsky.
Romanov made 12 saves in the first period while Cagnoni played 7:20, the second most on the San Jose Sharks.
