The San Jose Sharks gave up five unanswered goals to the Chicago Blackhawks, who won 5-2 at the United Center on Wednesday.

Louis Crevier scored twice for Chicago, who finished their season with a 29-39-14 record. Connor Bedard had two assists, and Nick Lardis, Ryan Greene, and Sam Rinzel also scored for the Blackhawks. Spencer Knight made 15 saves.

Mario Ferraro and Michael Misa scored the only goals for the Sharks, who have lost four of their past five games. Kiefer Sherwood had two assists, and Yaroslav Askarov made 19 saves, finishing his season with a 21-20-4 record. Macklin Celebrini did not record a point and remains at 112, two behind the San Jose Sharks record of 114 in a single season set by Joe Thornton.

Ferraro gave the Sharks a 1-0 lead at 8:09 of the first period. After taking a pass from Kiefer Sherwood on the right wing, Ferarro opted to shoot the puck with a flash screen in front of Knight that got past the Blackhawks goalie.

Misa put the Sharks up 2-0 with a power-play goal at 5:17 of the second period. Misa took the puck at the left post and threw it in front of the net, and it deflected past Knight.

Rinzel got the Blackhawks on the board at 19:30 of the second period. After taking a loose puck on the right wing, Rinzel beat Askarov from a hard angle.

Crevier tied the game 2-2 at 3:51 of the third period. Connor Bedard threw a backhand cross-crease pass to a wide-open Crevier for the tap-in.

Greene put the Blackhawks up 3-2 over the San Jose Sharks at 8:35.

Crevier scored his second goal of the game at 10:32 to make it 4-2.

Lardis scored the Blackhawks’ fifth straight goal, and fourth of the period, to make it 5-2 at 14:44.
