The San Jose Sharks will hold their annual development camp starting on Tuesday.
2025 NHL Draft No. 2 overall pick Michael Misa will be in attendance wearing No. 77. The former Saginaw Spirit captain will wear his familiar No. 77 throughout camp and the prospect scrimmage.
Joining the top forward prospect will be 2024 No. 11 pick Sam Dickinson. Dickinson had a record-breaking year on defense for the London Knights. The Sharks are hoping to see Dickinson’s great success translate to the pros.
At 19, Dickinson still cannot play in the American Hockey League next season. He will either make the San Jose Sharks NHL roster out of training camp or head back to the OHL. He can’t play at the NCAA level after signing his entry-level contract.
A surprise name on the Sharks’ development camp roster is Landon Marleau. It won’t be that familiar No. 12 his father, Patrick, wore for the Sharks, as it is now in the rafters of the SAP Center.
Yes, Landon Marleau is the son of the San Jose Sharks legend. Landon will be attending development camp as a try-out invite. The forward played in the BCHL and briefly in the NAHL in 24-25.
In 28 games with the Powell River Junior Kings, Landon Marleau had two goals and four assists. In four games with the Janesville Jets in the NAHL, Marleau failed to record a point.
The Sharks’ development camp will begin on Tuesday at Sharks Ice San Jose. The first group will be on the ice for practice at 9:15 a.m. PT. All practice times are subject to change, but are open to the public.
