The San Jose Sharks have signed winger William Eklund to a three-year extension.
Eklund’s new Sharks deal will kick in during the 2026-2027 season and carry an AAV of $5.6 million.
Once his new San Jose Sharks contract completes, he will remain under team control as a restricted free agent. This gives both Eklund and the Sharks more time for him to develop and secure another payday.
Eklund set career highs in 24-25 with 58 points (17 goals, 41 assists). He is currently recovering from a left-wrist injury but is expected to be ready for the start of the 25-26 season.
