The San Jose Sharks have acquired goaltender Alex Nedeljkovic from the Pittsburgh Penguins.
The Sharks are trading a 3rd-round pick in the 2028 NHL Draft to acquire their new goalie.
It appears the Sharks have found Yaroslav Askarov’s new goaltending partner for the 25-26 NHL season. Nedeljkovic carries an AAV of $2.5 million and is entering the final year of his contract.
Nedeljkovic finished last season as the Penguins’ No. 1 goalie and has scored a goal in his NHL career. In 38 games last season, the new Sharks goalie had a 14-15-5 record, a 3.12 goals-against average, and a .894 save percentage.
