San Jose Sharks legend Joe Pavelski is participating in the American Century Championship after two rounds.
The former Sharks captain is an avid golfer and is known as one of the better non-professional golfers. After Saturday, Pavelski’s two-round total has him sitting at -2 overall. He is tied for first place with former USMNT Soccer player Taylor Twellman.
“The round was good,” Pavelski told the Associated Press via ESPN. “Obviously, the first tee and first-round excitement was there. Nerves were there.”
The former San Jose Sharks legend last skated in teal during Joe Thornton’s jersey retirement Legends game.
Pavelski finished in second place in the 2024 American Century Championship and will play in the final pairing on Sunday. Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry is tied for 9th. Curry won the tournament in 2023. Curry hit a hole-in-one that year.
Pavelski and Twellman will tee off at 9:41 a.m. on Sunday.
