San Jose Sharks 2023 first-round pick Quentin Musty has officially jumped to pro hockey after he was assigned to the San Jose Barracuda on Monday.

It was a tumultuous season for the winger. Musty finished with 30 goals and 29 assists in 33 games for the Sudbury Wolves. He completed four years of Junior hockey in the OHL, all with Sudbury.

Musty started the year with a trade request that never came to fruition, then got injured in early December 2024.

The top San Jose Sharks prospect joins the Barracuda in the middle of a playoff push and will be thrust into a top role. He could debut as early as Wednesday against the Coachella Valley Firebirds.

Sam Dickinson and Kasper Halttunen are still alive in the OHL Playoffs for the London Knights. Both Sharks’ prospects have signed their entry-level contracts and could turn pro next season.
