San Jose Sharks forward Alexander Wennberg is dealing with a lower-body injury and is considered a game-time decision against the Boston Bruins on Saturday.
During practice, Sharks head coach Ryan Warsofsky originally had Barclay Goodrow in Wennberg’s spot. Once the team moved on to another drill, Zack Ostapchuk was higher in the rotation.
Overall, during Friday’s practice, the lines changed significantly as Macklin Celebrini, Will Smith, and Collin Graf were all on the same line.
“Our lines will probably be a lot different tomorrow,” Warsofsky said.
San Jose Sharks Recall Lucas Carlsson
Another change during Friday’s practice was the arrival of Lucas Carlsson. Carlsson signed a two-year contract during the 2024 offseason. Due to an injury, he didn’t make his debut for the San Jose Barracuda until Nov. 16.
“I tore my ACL in February last year. I was out for eight months,” Carlsson told reporters. “[I] came back in November. It’s been a tough time, but the last two months, I’ve been feeling really good. I’m just happy to be playing hockey.”
In 44 games this season, Carlsson has 10 goals and 13 assists.
Carlsson was paired with Timothy Liljegren during Sharks practice.
