Cagnoni sits fourth in the entire AHL in defenseman scoring. After signing his entry-level contract last summer, Cagnoni has appeared in six NHL games for the San Jose Sharks. On Monday, he registered an assist in his hometown area of Vancouver, on Macklin Celebrini’s goal.
The San Jose Barracuda have two games remaining in the regular season before embarking on their first Calder Cup Playoff run since 2019. The Sharks’ prospect will continue to play a big role for the farm club.
