The San Jose Sharks have selected goalie Josh Ravensbergen with the 30th overall pick at the 2025 NHL Draft.
Like top Sharks prospect Yaroslav Askarov, Ravensbergen catches right-handed. He played for the Prince George Cougars in the WHL.
In 51 games, Ravensbergen had a 33-13-4 record, .901 save percentage, and 3.00 GAA. Ravensbergen is the second goalie taken at the 2025 NHL Draft.
There were questions about what the San Jose Sharks were going to do with the 30th overall selection, including possibly trading it.
It never hurts to pick a goalie and could turn into a nice complement for the Sharks and projected No. 1 goalie of the future, Yaroslav Askarov.
Ravensberg is also from the Vancouver area and knows Sharks star Macklin Celebrini.
